Information We Collect

PuttDaily does not require account creation or personal information to play. We do not ask for your real name, email address, or other personally identifiable information.

Local Storage

We use your browser's localStorage to save your game progress, scores, streaks, cosmetic preferences, and your cookie choice. All localStorage keys are prefixed with "pd_" for easy identification. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

The first time you use an online feature, the game also creates a random player ID and keeps it in localStorage. It is not linked to your identity; it only lets the game recognize your own scores, levels, and ratings.

Online Features

Most of the game runs entirely in your browser. A few optional features send data to our servers, which are hosted on Cloudflare:

• Daily leaderboard — when you post a daily score, we store your random player ID, the display name you choose (or "Golfer"), your stroke total, and the date.
• Community levels — when you publish a level, we store your random player ID, the display name you choose, and the level itself. When you play or rate a level, we store the play count and your rating.
• Multiplayer and Battle Royale — when you join a room, we store your display name, random player ID, and game state for that room. Rooms expire after two hours and are then deleted.

Display names, published levels, and leaderboard entries are visible to other players, so please do not use your real name or other personal information as a display name.

Cookies and Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. These cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your browsing activity.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you may opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

For more information about how Google uses data when you use our site, please visit How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept advertising cookies. If you decline, or have not chosen yet, we ask Google to serve non-personalized ads only. Non-personalized ads may still use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and fraud prevention. To change your choice, clear the "pd_cookies" entry from your browser's site data and the banner will appear again.

Analytics

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, gives us aggregate traffic statistics such as page views, referring sites, browser type, and country. These statistics come from server logs, not cookies, and do not identify individual players.

Third-Party Services

Our site uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdSense — for displaying advertisements
• Cloudflare — for hosting the site, storing leaderboards, community levels, and multiplayer rooms, and providing traffic statistics
• Google Fonts — for loading web fonts (Fredoka, Outfit)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Children's Privacy

PuttDaily is a casual game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game does not require registration, and online features only store a chosen display name and a random player ID.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
